Sankey Tank – Take 2
We went for a walk in Sankey Tank today, Post Valentine’s day. The couples were in their usual places where the street lamps are off, but all the benches had notices on the back, telling people to behave.
The best one was: Nimma premavannu pradarshisa bedi: Don’t demonstrate your love.
We always found PDAs a little annoying, but the counter measures were very funny. Some couples sat on those very same benches. The problem is that there are no proper places for romantic couples in bangalore unless they leave the city and go to some unsafe places. When I was young and when Bangalore was puritan, we made a trip to Bombay and found the parks there very funny because there PDA was the law., not against it.
We tried a hotel called Mint Masala opp the Sivaji statute and found it expensive, not very tasty and that guys added mushrooms against instruction removed them, re-served it luke warm and forgot the bread and so on. I am not sure if we will go back, but there was a long line outside.
