Manginapudi Beach and Bundar Port (Machilipatnam)

Lovely beach at Manginapudi and nice canal at the Port. We went sea bathing at Manginapudi on Sankranthi morning and watched the sun rise out of the mist that shrouds the ocean.

In Bundar, the Sun rises out of and sets into the mist above the horizon. It is beautiful to look at. There are temples in every street of Machilipatnam. It is very nice here. The mosquitoes are the size of small elephants and need to be shot not swatted. There is an occassional smell of fish and that is nothing to someone from Vizag.

The sweets in MTM are to be eaten to be believed. I love Bundar Halwa, Kajjikayalu, Bellam Jilebis and Allam Pacchadi. This is easily the best food I have ever eaten. I strongly advise against hotels, which provide pretty hopeless food, but some of the sweet shops are amazing. If you want to eat here find people who will invite you home (very easy actually).
